Specify 5.2 and 5.2.3 Known Bugs

Document Actions
These are the bugs that were known at release time or discovered later.

  • Changing the form customizer default form is not currently working. A potential work-around is to export the forms once you have them and then keep that file to import if something goes awry.
  • For those folks who are using SQL Server 2005, if whenever you are editing or saving, you see the error message "Incorrect syntax near ':'", then you need to reset the capability level of your database.

To do this, start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Right-click on your database name and select Properties. Under "Select a Page", click on options. On the right hand side for the Compatibility level, select SQL Server 2000 (80). If you have any problems with this step, please contact us at the Specify project.

  • The documentation is not complete for Windows Authentication. If you are using a domain setup, please contact us and we will send you the information. Please note with Specify 6 and the move to a multi-platform system, we will no longer be supporting the Windows Authentication.
