Is there a way to dump all of the fields in specify into a text file?

Jessica,

I noticed that you posted a message on the Specify user forum, and no users have replied yet. If you have a question for Specify staff, please contact Specify@ku.edu.

You asked for a list of all fields in Specify.

Depending on what you want, and why, I can suggest a few resources. Let me know (specify@ku.edu) if one of these does not suit your needs, and I’ll see what else we can come up with.

http://www.specifysoftware.org/Specify/specify/data_dictionary/ contains a complete list of all Specify’s data tables and fields.

http://www.specifysoftware.org/Specify/specify/data_model/ has simplified and complete versions of Specify’s data model.

http://www.specifysoftware.com/specify6/SpecifySchema.html has a preview of the Specify 6 database schema in text, and a graphical version is at http://www.specifysoftware.com/specify6/schema/index.html.

To export your collections data, see the section of the user manual (online help) on Searching Data, Conventional Field Searches, conventional Field Search Procedures, Exporting Search Results.
